Get them while they're hot.

While I was watching video we captured in the last couple months, I realized that Gemma falls down very often. I decided to make that the theme of this movie.

Good news! Dr. Resnick says the finger is looking great! Gemma has been in better spirits as well. I am a much happier person than I was two weeks ago.

Very Feverish.

So we survived our first trip to the emergency room. Gemma's index finger was squashed by a falling end table she accidently toppled. The experience was distressing for her parents, but Gemma took it in stride. This kid is a ray of pure sunshine. As you can see, even with part of a finger missing she managed to keep in good spirits most of the time. While the doctor was getting ready to apply the stitches, Gemma was jumping up and down smiling and laughing. The doctor stepped back and said, "You have to get a picture of this!". On the way out she waved to all the other patients with her bandaged nub.
